In
May 1975, the Wine Cellar opened in Gulfport,
a small suburb of St-Petersburg . We seated
40 people and had a staff of 4. Our goal
was to create a restaurant with intimate
atmosphere, European food and professional
service.
Success
came almost too fast and after one year
we moved to our present location in North
Redington Beach. Here we formed a partnership
with Karl Klumpp, Ted Sonnenshein and
Peter Shuckert, who is the dinning room
manager. Together we tried to create the
same intimate feeling we had in Gulfport.
We
expanded the menu a bit since we now could
accommodate 200 plus people at one seating.
Over Thirty years later, we are still
proud to have preserved great atmosphere,
great menu variety, excellent food and
professional service.
In
our banquet rooms, we accommodate business
meetings, weddings, religious affairs
etc, up to 300 people. Our out of house
caterings also have become a great success.
The
combination of our excellent staff and
our family involvement have made the Wine
Cellar what it is today
